“Africa is still a victim of colonialism”, commissioner

To create strong unity among Africans, the African day which is celebrated every year in May is being celebrated today by the African Union.

The African Union Commission Commissioner Mehmood Ali Yusuf, who made a speech at the celebration, urged Africans to strengthen their capacity and work with determination to create impact on the world stage.

The chairman said that the influential countries in the world geopolitics are not giving enough attention to Africa; Africans should work hard to strengthen their capacity and create impact on the world stage.

The chairman said Africa’s mineral resources, cultivable land and industrial potential is huge. He pointed out that it is Africans responsibility to protect this wealth and pass it on to the next generation.

The African Union commissioner Mohammed Ali Yusuf has stated in his message that the goals set by the ancestors of Pan Africanism to realize the overall needs and interests of the continent’s people are a reflection of their dreams for the future generations.

Africa is still a victim of colonialism, the commissioner said that Africa is making a lot of success. We should be in better development and modernization.
