Somali MPs disputed Army salary increase bill.

Somali Parliament members held heated discussions on Somali National Army’s Salary increase bill.

some members proposed an increase of the soldiers monthly salaries and allowances.

also the proposed bill calls quato of Ma’weysley militias fighting alongside national army to eradicate Terrorists.

Each MP receives $5k USD plus allowances, while soldiers get $200 USD plus $70 allowances each.

the motion tabled by several MP was calling additional $300 to the soldiers to get at least $500USD per month.

at the end of today’s Parliament meeting, the speaker announced that MPs approved two draft bills and failed to proceed the army salary increase bill.
