Turkey’s Oruc research vessel completes seismic in Somali waters
The Turkish vessel which has been operating in Somalia waters is going back to Turkey.
It completed its operation in Somalia waters for the last seven months.
“Our Oruç Reis Seismic Research Vessel, which has been operating in the Somali seas since October 25, 2024 has successfully completed its 234 day mission.’said by Turkish government.
Within the scope of the works carried out in three blocks, 3D seismic data was collected in an area of 4464 km2.
The data obtained by Oruç Reis, who will leave Mogadishu Port on June 15, 2025 and return to our country will guide the assessment of Somalia’s maritime jurisdiction in the coming period.
