Somalia condemned BBC’s wrong map use.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expresses its deep concern over the recent use of a map by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which blatantly misrepresents the territorial integrity and unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The BBC carries significant global influence and responsibility and the use of a map that misrepresents Somalia’s internationally recognized borders is deeply concerning as such an act is not only factually inaccurate but also undermines the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia.

We call on the BBC to promptly remove the inaccurate map and issue a clear and public correction to uphold journalistic integrity and affirm Somalia’s sovereignty.
