Putin: “Russia Africa summit will held in Africa later this year.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message to African people and leaders on the occasion of Africa Day.

The president said that this year’s Africa Day will be a historical day with the 80th anniversary of the end of the second world war and the founding of Temed, and the 65th anniversary of the declaration of the independence of Temed countries under colonialism.

Putin, who recalled that the defeat of the Nazi and the removal of the colonial system were the crucial events of the 20th century, said that free and peaceful life is very important for all human beings.

The president also mentioned that African countries have respected their independence and have achieved social and economic achievements as part of the international community in the past six decades.

President Putin said that the multi-party cooperation and many further cooperation that was established within the framework of African Union has contributed to strengthening peace and stability in the continent.

Putin, who decided that his country wants to strengthen its long-standing friendship with Africa, said that the Russia-Africa conferences held in 2019 and 2023 have enabled Russia and Africa to take a joint stand on international issues.

They mentioned that the next Russia-Africa congress is planned to be held in one African country at the end of the year. They expressed their belief that the congress will be a decision to create a just and democratic world order with joint efforts.

Finally they wished the African people health, success, peace and prosperity.
