France claims it’s ready to “rebuild” its relationship with Niger — this time with genuine intentions. Their proposal includes returning stolen colonial artifacts and resuming diplomatic and business ties.

But Niger isn’t convinced. The message from Niamey is crystal clear:

“If France truly wants to show sincerity, it should keep its distance for now! We’re still working to rid our land of imperialist influences and terrorists. Only after we fully reclaim our sovereignty will we consider business discussions!”
