France and Vietnam signed a 10 billion dollar agreement
France and Vietnam have reached an agreement worth more than 10 billion dollars on the purchase of Airbus planes and related issues.The french president Emmanuel Macron is visiting different countries in southeast Asia in order to stimulate the french economy and to establish the American tariffs. Their first destination is Vietnam.This is the first visit to Vietnam by the French President in 10 years, after US President Donald Trump said he would impose 50 percent tariffs on Europe and postpone it for some time.President Emmanuel Macron announced that during his visit to Vietnam, a deal worth 10.2 billion dollars was signed and Vietnam has agreed to buy about 20 airplanes from France’s largest aircraft manufacturer Airbus.In addition, it is stated that they have agreed on nuclear power generation, defense, railway line expansion and other fields and a total of 14 issues have been signed.Vietnamese President Laung Kong on his part said that the agreement will benefit both countries, mainly focus on exchanging important foreign information regarding defense and working together on counter terrorism.BBC reported that Indonesia and Singapore will be the other countries of the president’s destination in this first round of president Macron’s visit.
