EU lists same African Countries on financing of terrorism

The European Union has added Angola, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Algeria to the list of African countries whose banking systems contain loopholes that could facilitate money laundering, illicit financial flows, and the financing of terrorism.

Meanwhile, Senegal and Uganda have been removed from the list.

The EU, in collaboration with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), regularly identifies countries that pose significant risks to the global financial system, particularly in relation to money laundering and terrorist financing.
