DR Congo and Liberia elected None permanent UNSC members
The democratic Republic of Congo and Liberia representing Afria have been elected to the UNSC on Tuesday.
Bahrain received 186 votes, DRC 183, Liberia 181, Latvia 178 and Colombia 180 to replace Algeria, Guyana, Korea, Sierra Leone and Slovenia.
Their new term will start 2026 2027 and both Africans will represent the continent.
The election results shows five new none permanent members, while five others remain.
