Saba Saba toll rises to 37,Police decreased.

Kenya Human Rights committee confirmed that 37 people killed on last Monday protests.

National Police Service has confirmed 11 fatalities, 567 arrests, and injuries to 52 officers and 11 civilians following Monday’s Saba Saba protests.

Police spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga said several vehicles—including police and civilianwere damaged during the nationwide unrest.

The NPS commended officers for their “restraint and professionalism” while condemning groups involved in violence, looting, and attacks on officers.

Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen vowed that those responsible will be prosecuted. Meanwhile, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights reported 10 deaths, 29 injuries, 2 abductions, and 37 arrests across 17 counties by 6:30 p.m.

The protests marked the 35th anniversary of Kenya’s pro-democracy Saba Saba movement, with major disruptions reported in Nairobi and beyond.
