Mali apprehended IS leader, bodyguards
The Malian army announced on Saturday the capture of an Islamic State leader and his bodyguard in northern Mali during a clash in the Cha-Mane area.
The statement noted that intelligence operations allowed security forces to catch the leader, who is “of foreign nationality,” off guard while he was coercing local residents as part of a forced awareness campaign.
this is huge win for Malian authority and fight against ISIS members in Western Africa.
