African leaders condolences to Lungu death.

Most of African head of states sent condolences to the Zambian people as their former president Edgar Lungo passed away in South Africa.

From north to south and east to the west African presidents and PMs shared heart feel sorrows to the people of Zambia.

Former President of Zambia Edgar Chagwa Lungu has died of complications during a surgery he was undergoing this morning in South Africa.

Lungu was Zambia’s President between 2015 and 2021, when he lost an election to current President Hakainde HichilemaThe former President who has died at 68 was angling to run for Presidency in 2026.

However, the Constitutional Court had barred Lungu from running again for president as he had already served a maximum of two terms.

Lungu was elected as President in a By-election in January 2015 following the death of Michael Sata the then President in October 2014
